Be sure to select either History Index or Community Resources from the drop down menu. The Community Resources File is a database of approximately 1,600 non-profit organizations, agencies, and clubs that connect the Long Beach community to resources that provide social, business, and recreational services and programs. Individual doctors, therapists, or lawyers, are not included. For the most part, businesses are also excluded unless they are of a general nature and often asked for. The database consists of information on city departments, some state and federal local government agencies, human services organizations, and neighborhood groups and organizations. The file is updated as needed and formally once a year.
