Celebrate National Library Month!
Create Your Own Story at the Long Beach Public Library
Libraries are places for new beginnings.  Whether you are getting your first library card, learning new computer skills or planning a trip, the library is the place where your story begins. During the month of April, you are invited to join our nation's libraries and librarians in celebrating National Library Month.

The Long Beach Public Library has many events planned for all ages, including storytimes, guest speakers, writing events, and craft programs - each designed to inspire you in the creation and expression of your unique story.

First sponsored in 1958, this event is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country. For more information on how you can join the celebration, visit or call any Long Beach Public Library location or view our events calendar.
