SpecialConnect Open House
Discover SpecialConnect, programs and services designed for children with special needs, their families and caregivers, at a free Open House in Main Library’s Youth Services Department. SpecialConnect includes books, toys, sensory bins, specialized apps, multisensory storytime and movies, and partnerships with key organizations serving children with disabilities. This continues the library’s commitment to providing a welcoming and friendly environment, which focuses on all abilities so that everyone can reach their potential. The open house will be held at the Main Library on Saturday, January 31 from 1:00PM-4:00PM.

SpecialConnect is an initiative of the Long Beach Public Library Foundation specifically made possible through generous donations from James Hankla, Diane Jacobus, Dr. Nancy Kimber and a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation distributed through the Long Beach Community Foundation.
