In the Summer of 2018, novice makers ages 10 to 16 (all campers welcome) are invited to build, tinker and explore with us for four weeks beginning July 7th - August 2nd.
Every week at the Main Library (July 7, 14, 21, 28, 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.), the Michelle Obama Library (July 10, 17, 24, 31, 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.), and the Mark Twain Library (July 12, 19, 26, August 2, 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.) campers will be engaged in design/tech-centered activities that inspire and educate.
Campers have the opportunity to create 3D prints and learn different design and technical skills.
Week 1 Color Algorithm: Make an art piece based on mapping and traditional mural techniques. Explore your creative side using programming, algorithms and color theory!
Week 2 Robo Racers: Join us to build robot cars out of Arduino boards and electronic components. Code your way to the finish line!
Week 3 3D Retro Printing: Lino-What? Lino-Cut! Come learn how to carve blocks into designs or characters and turn them into 3D illusions on paper!
Week 4 NoIzE MaKeRz: Take circuits to the next level with sound! Bring home a light-sensitive musical instrument created by you.
