Anniversary of the Signing of ADA
Celebrate the 27th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by visiting the Long Beach Public Library.  Use the Information Center for People with Disabilities, a state of the art technology center for people with visual, hearing, physical, and developmental disabilities. Updated assistive software and hardware is now available at the Main Library and at the Assistive Technology workstations at the Michelle Obama Branch Library.

The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law in 1990.

For more information, contact the Main Library at 562-570-7500 or the Michelle Obama Branch Library at 562-570-1047.
