Celebrate National Library Month

April is National Library Month and your local library invites you to celebrate "Libraries Lead" with workshops and crafts for all ages.

Visit your local library branch to pick up a flyer and bookmark or visit our online National Library Month calendar when you click here.

Join the launch of our newest, year-long, early-literacy program for young families, "Dive Into Reading", at the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, April 18th at 12:00 p.m. The event will feature stories with Vice Mayor Rex Richardson, crafts, and songs with the library staff.

How else can you celebrate National Library Month:

  • Sign up for a free library card.
  • Check out the library's free online collection of e-Books, audiobooks, music downloads, magazines and more.
  • Explore free databases of online tutors for homework and career support, language apps, film and documentary streaming, online workshops and more.
  • Achieve your dreams by earning your high school diploma and career certificate with Career Online High School.
  • Start a new project and learn how to bring your ideas to real life at the Main Library and Michelle Obama Library makerspaces and monthly workshops.
